Robert L. Burton

Reverend/Doctor Robert L. Burton, the Senior Pastor of Greater Works Bible Church, Inc., 3296 Walt Stephens Road, Jonesboro, Georgia 30236, was born in Opelika, Alabama, and is the youngest of eight siblings. His early life experiences prepared him to minister the Word of God to all levels of people, but the Holy Ghost fixed his heart on reaching God's people through the unedited Word of God.
His goal is to be obedient in carrying out God's Will. He is a Saint Leo University graduate with a dual bachelor's degree: B.A. in Religion (Theology) and Business Administration (Management). Additionally, he has a four-year educational certificate in Theology from the Baptist International Bible Institute (BIBI). His academic journey continued with a Master's in Divinity (MDiv) and a Doctorate of Ministry (DMin) from Jehovah Jireh Bible Institute of Higher Learning (JJBIHL) (September 2024).

Pastor Terry Woodard is a visionary leader, community advocate, entrepreneur, and servant of God whose passion is to see lives transformed through the power of Jesus Christ and practical community outreach. He currently serves as the Vice President of the Association of Christian Ministers of Clayton County (ACMCC) and is the Founder and Senior Pastor of Victory In Christ Ministries, affectionately known as "The VIC."
Born in Birmingham, Alabama, Pastor Woodard Sr. relocated with his family to Atlanta, Georgia, at the age of fourteen. He attended Atlanta Public Schools and graduated from West End Academy. Following graduation, he answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Army, where he developed many of the leadership principles that continue to guide his ministry and community service today.
Pastor Woodard Sr. is married to his high school sweetheart, First Lady Pauline Woodard. Together they have shared over 36 years of marriage and are the proud parents of three children—Terrianna, Terry Jr., and Terris—and the loving grandparents of four grandchildren: Zaniah, Kyla, Terry III, Terrick and Carter.
In 2015, Pastor Woodard Sr. founded Victory In Christ Ministries with a mission to empower people to experience victory through faith in Jesus Christ. Following the leading of the Holy Spirit, the ministry relocated to Riverdale, Georgia, in June 2016, where it continues to grow as a beacon of hope, healing, and restoration throughout the region.
Under Pastor Woodard's leadership, Victory In Christ Ministries has expanded beyond the church walls to establish several impactful community outreach initiatives, including Victory Hope House Community Resource Center, Hope Outlet, and numerous programs designed to address food insecurity, educational support, financial literacy, health awareness, and family stability. Through these efforts, thousands of families throughout Clayton County and surrounding communities have received critical assistance, resources, and encouragement.
Victory Hope House currently serves more than 1,000 residents monthly through its food assistance programs and provides over 1,300 backpacks annually to students through its Back-to-School Outreach Initiative. Additional programs include health and nutrition education, financial literacy training, community resource referrals, and the widely celebrated "Bubbles & Blessings" outreach that serves single mothers and families throughout the community.

Derek T. Griffin is a seasoned business and community leader with more than 25 years of diverse experience spanning real estate development, telecommunications, banking and finance, insurance and bonding, and
collegiate sports marketing. Known for his strategic vision and relationship-driven approach, Derek has consistently delivered results across both the corporate and nonprofit sectors.
CURRENT ROLES
Derek currently serves as Managing Partner at GMC Developers, LLC, a real estate development firm based in Fayetteville, GA, where he leads strategic growth and commercial development initiatives. He also serves as
Business Development Manager for DuBois Integrity Academy in Riverdale, GA, driving organizational growth and community partnerships.
CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
Derek previously served as National Sales Director (HBCU Division) for NCAA Collegiate Sports and Marketing at HOST Communications, where he expanded the organization's reach across Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Earlier, he spent seven years as Vice President of Operations at First Capital Lending, Inc., playing a key role in commercial development and finance. His career has also included significant work in telecommunications with AT&T. In 2000, Derek partnered with the Greater Atlanta Economic Alliance to train and support hundreds of small, minority-owned business contractors, helping them secure contracts with Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport a landmark initiative in advancing economic equity for underrepresented entrepreneurs.

Derek earned a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from Morehouse College in 1989, graduating Cum Laude.
FAITH & COMMUNITY
Derek serves as Lead Pastor at Lakewin Christian Center in Riverdale, GA, where he leads his congregation with a commitment to spiritual growth, discipleship, and community service.
PERSONAL Derek and his wife, Lisa Griffin of Atlanta, GA, have been married for 35 years and are proud parents to three adult children.
